These positions require a demand for following scheduled day-to-day tasks,, assignments while employing proven technical practices,procedures. Ideal candidates are comfortable with their knowledge of technical installation basics balanced with excellent people skills. ShoreTel, Brocade Certified Technicians, Engineers maintain as well as add appropriate certifications that match Caleidoscope’s requirements for multiple product lines. Certified Technicians, ShoreTel, Brocade, may need to attend off-site or web-enabled product training as requested or required. Caleidoscope’s Technical staff assists in the design of customer equipment solutions, collaboration with pricing, proposals for PBX systems, RFPs, RFIs. Our tech team meets with customers to propose, install and troubleshoot systems. Customer meetings are limited to reasonable traveling distance from the Burlington, Maine offices. Pre-approved mileage, travel expenses are reimbursed. The purpose of our Certified ShoreTel, Brocade Technicians’ role at Caleidoscope is to provide direct technical support to Caleidoscope customers principally, the V.P. of Sales, Account Executives, the Senior Systems Engineer, Tech Support Specialists. The work requires building relationships with equipment manufacturers, distributors. We provide OJT as well as field training support for the right individual to get you on track to become a certified technician. The specific development focus of this role demands continued understanding of Caleidoscope Solutions’ equipment products, services, upgrades, patches, technical implementation processes, procedures as they translate into successful installations, meet customer satisfaction metrics. Other key skills to develop will include acquiring a working knowledge of spreadsheet software, database software, local as well as wide area computer networks, ShoreTel, Brocade, Adtran IP PBX products, firewalls, routers as well as a working knowledge of competitor’s service offerings.
Certified Technicians, ShoreTel and Brocade – Education Requirements:
Our Certified Technicians require an in-depth knowledge of telecommunications technologies, hardware to include T-1, POTS, PRI, MPLS Experience with TDM- based digital PBXs, VoIP Telephony along with knowledge of multiple telephone, data wiring standards Requires in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, underlying protocols with emphasis on routing, IP Telephony, LAN, WAN technologies,hardware, SIP, QOS, VLAN and VMware.
Certified Technicians, ShoreTel and Brocade – Core Function Specific Competencies:
Certified Technicians require experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting of IP PBX telephone systems, LANs, WANs, cabling from CAT 3 through CAT 6, Fiber, design, implementation of communications closets, management of communications equipment, networks via on site, remote administration, basic electronics abilities, VoIP, fundamental certifications in ShoreTel, and/or Adtran, Brocade Switching, Routing Equipment, IP-PBX Systems; ESI Key Systems.
